I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business.

My research examines how managerial incentives, corporate culture, and informational environments shape firm behavior, innovation, and performance. A central theme in my work is the unintended consequences of standardization, regulation, and social dynamics on executive decision-making and economic outcomes.
Before joining academia, I worked for two years in the Ministry of Economics of Chile, designing and executing microeconomic policies to improve the conditions for entrepreneurship and innovation.
